Flashforward Conference Announces Kevin Lynch, Adobe Senior Vice President and Chief Software Architect, as Keynote Speaker
The Flashforward Conference and Film Festival today announced that Kevin Lynch, Senior Vice President and Chief Software Architect at Adobe, will present the keynote at the September 19-21 event, which will take place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. Lynch will be joined by a team of Adobe presenters and third-party, in-the-trenches experts. Presenters will dig deeply into the new applications that are being developed with Adobe® Flash® and related technologies to answer the needs of designers and developers in today's rich content landscape.
Presentations will cover: the recently announced Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR), formerly code named Apollo, a cross-operating system application runtime that enables developers to use HTML/CSS, Ajax, Adobe Flash and Adobe Flex™ to extend rich Internet applications (RIAs) to the desktop; the Adobe Media Player™, which leverages the Adobe AIR architecture and delivers more engaging video experiences to viewers while offering content publishers new abilities to distribute, track, and build businesses around their media assets; the little-known captioning component in Flash Professional CS3 which enables the addition of captioning to video easily and inexpensively; and designing for mobile devices, emphasizing the solutions that enable operators to deliver engaging mobile experiences across a broad range of handsets.
"The Adobe team, kicking off with Kevin Lynch and followed by Mike Chambers, Deeje Cooley, Andrew Kirkpatrick, and Josh Ulm, have been paired with presentations from leading designers and developers outside Adobe, teaming inside knowledge with real-world experiences," said Lynda Weinman, CEO lynda.com events. "We have Keith Peters and Tony MacDonell presenting Adobe AIR™, Robert Reinhardt and Chris Florio digging deeply into Flash Player video and Scott Janousek covering Mobile. This is an especially exciting year for Flashforward with new developments in Video, Integration, and Mobile use of the Flash products."
The Flashforward Conference delivers three days of intensive education, inspiration, community, and networking for users of Adobe Flash, Flex, ActionScript and Adobe AIR. Attendees will learn how Flash integrates with other Adobe applications to create Flash Player video, rich Internet applications in and out of the browser, animation, audio, games, data visualization, database integration and more.
